Product Details

The Bario Bat Eater is a stunning arboreal species from the highland forests of Malaysian Borneo. They have a dark body with a gorgeous metallic blue-purple sheen across the legs and can reach around 15cm in leg span. They’re fast growing and excellent webbers, creating impressive silk-lined retreats high up in their enclosure.

They’re an arboreal species, so provide plenty of height with vertical cork or branches for climbing and webbing.

Keep them around 24–28°C with humidity around 70–80%.

Temperament-wise, they’re fast and defensive, making them better suited to experienced keepers. They’re usually most active around dusk and night — although when they do decide to make an appearance, they don't exactly take their time about it.
